Changing times

As I reflect, on my visit to John Tower’s house in Hingham, Massachusetts, (June 2009), I am in awe as to its authentic nature. Comfortable and secure, very rudiment, yet so very functional with wood burning fireplace, candles, quilts and such.

This stands In stark contrast to our current homes. Unless your are living off grid, you are more or less hampered in your day to day function, if the power goes, out resulting in no heat, no wifi, and so much more.

I honor that my ancestor John Tower applied simplistic and functional means to his home and life that allowed him to life to old age, leaving memorable means for us, to implement in our own lives in this era of our lives.
